Staff 2026-2027

Lilli Floyd is a senior at BHS. This is Floyd's fourth year on The Stinger staff. She is currently serving as executive producer and wants to improve her writing skills. Floyd particularly enjoys taking photos for sports events and many other school events. She joined The Stinger in hopes to learn about photography and an opportunity to create her own business. When she is not helping with The Stinger, she can be found singing in church. She is so excited for an amazing last year on The Stinger staff. 

Katie Guenther is a senior at BHS. This is Guenther's fourth year on The Stinger staff. She is currently serving as associate producer and she would like to get better at her writing skills. Guenther loves filming and being on camera while filming Jacket culture or Stinger on the Street. She joined the Stinger her freshman year because she loves to meet and talk to new people. When Guenther's not filming, she enjoys shopping, marching band practice, and hanging out with friends. She is excited for her best and final year.

Amber McAteer is a senior at Buford High School. This is McAteer's second year on The Stinger staff. She is currently serving as website manager and hopes to inspire people with her writing. McAteer particularly enjoys writing more emotional features and being on camera. She plans to get her BSN and become an outpatient pediatric nurse. She joined the Stinger her sophomore year because she didn't have another class to be in, but ended up falling in love with it. McAteer is passionate about reading, writing, music, and painting. She is excited for an awesome second year on staff. 

Lily Stroud is a junior at BHS. This is Stroud's first year on The Stinger Staff. She is currently serving as lead photographer. Stroud joined The Stinger to continue her education, extend her knowledge, and further her experience in photography. Stroud is primarily focused and passionate in sports photography. Whenever she's not at school, she's taking pictures for athletes around Lancaster. She's incredibly excited for her first year on staff and becoming a better photographer.

Ashtion Jordan is a senior at BHS. This is Jordan's third year being a part of the stinger staff. She is currently serving as social media co-manager. She's excited to be a completer and show her growth through out her three years in this class. Jordan is greatful for the opportunity to be in a leadership position and help out the new J ones. 

Haili Adams is a junior at Buford High School. This is her third year on The Stinger Staff. She originally joined her freshman year because of her love for media. She is currently serving as a social media co-manager. In doing so, she hopes to use her creativity along with trends to create short-form entertainment for people of all demographics. She hopes to explore other forms of media this year such as photography and editorials. However, she is not only a member of The Stinger, but also an officer on the Buford FFA Officer team. She cannot wait to see how much she improves this year.

Mr. Kevin is a student at BHS and is excited to be a part of The Stinger staff. He enjoys being creative and especially loves drawing and creating cartoons featuring his own characters. Kevin absolutely loves Mario and enjoys watching movies in his free time. He also loves spending time with his friends and being part of the BHS community. Through journalism, Kevin looks forward to sharing his creativity and having fun while learning new skills. When he is not working on The Stinger, you can usually find Kevin drawing, watching movies, playing Mario, or hanging out with his friends.

Nackiah Miller is a junior at BHS. This is Miller's first year on the Stinger staff. Miller enjoys the videos the stinger puts out for students to watch. She joined the stinger as she thought it would be something that could entertain her during school and bring her more credits. Miller also enjoys staying home from school.

Kariyah Mackey is a sophomore at BHS. This is Mackey's first year on the Stinger staff. She is currently serving as a staff reporter and wants to improve her photography skills. Mackey joined because she thought it would be fun to do journalism.

Isabel Powell is a junior at BHS. This is Isabel's first year on the Stinger staff. She is currently serving as a staff reporter and she really wants to improve her photography skills. Isabel particularly enjoys writing for the art section and the science section for the stinger. She joined The Stinger because she wanted to get out of a certain class but she ended up really really liking Journalism. When she is not writing for The Stinger, Isabel enjoys drawing and painting. She is really excited for her first year on staff.

Caden Shackelford is a junior at BHS. It's his first year on the Stinger staff. He is looking to improve his photography skills. He plans on being an RN when he gets out of highschool. He is a CNA right now, but he wants to continue helping people throughout his life. 

Hayden Faile is a junior at Buford High School. This is Faile’s first year on The Stinger staff. Faile is interested in writing stories and learning more about photography and journalism. She hopes to improve her writing skills and gain more experience throughout the year. Faile’s career goal is to become a veterinary assistant because she has always loved working with animals. Outside of journalism, she enjoys spending time with her friends, going to the beach, listening to music, and traveling. She is excited to meet new people, learn more about journalism, and have an amazing first year on staff.

Kensley Mccoy is a junior at BHS. This is Mccoy's first year on The stinger staff. She is excited to learn more about journalism  and contribute to the paper when she's not learning how to write or film she is hanging out with friends, playing with her puppies or just chilling at home. She is super excited for her first year of journalism.

Maddox Hagins is a senior at BHS. This is Hagins' first year with The Stinger staff. He's currently trying to find his specialty with the Stinger crew. Hagins joined the Stinger staff to improve his people skills and learn about new hobbies. When he isn't doing Stinger work, he's probably playing video games or hanging out with friends. Hagins is excited for his first year with The Stinger.

Braylee Airington is a junior at BHS. This is Airington's first year as a Stinger staff. She has interests in writing and editing, and wants to improve her videography skills and camera presence. She joined journalism in hopes to branch out socially and learn new things. Outside of school, she enjoys sideline and competitive cheer, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and baking.
